Gino's East
Two cab drivers, Sam Levine and Fred Bartoli, opened Gino’s East on East Superior Street in 1966, betting that a pizza place just off the Magnificent Mile would do well. This matchbook gives the hours as “seven days a week until 2 AM”, and notes the city parking next door. Look closely and the printer spelled it “Illinios”.
